Free Tutoring for Seniors

Update July 2011: Due to budget cuts, Generations Online is no longer in operation. This is a huge blow to our Senior community.

To keep up with the constantly changing technology, the Chavez Center and Generations Online offered basic internet and computer training for Seniors age 55 and older. In one‐on‐one sessions, Seniors learned to use a mouse, search the internet, create an e‐mail account, communicate online, and more.

Classes were FREE and offered in both Spanish and English.

To accomodate the Senior population, the Chavez Center offered a new workshop for them to learn in small groups at a leisurely pace. Because of the technology program's own cuts, the workshop could not continue. Seniors now enroll in regular computer classes, which are much larger and fast-paced.
