For some using a computer is not enough. They wish to pursue a career completely immersed in IT. Delving into the inner‐workings of computers, students go well beyond just using a computer. Through a partnership with STRIDE Center based in Oakland, the Chavez Center brings you a computer repair certification course.

This rigorous 6‐month long course prepares students to pass the A+ computer repair certification exam and jump into an IT career. The training in this course goes beyond computers, teaching soft skills, interviewing and resume writing to empower students to reach their career aspirations. The program boasts an astounding success rate with 80% of graduates employed at a starting wage between $15‐20 per hour.
